Each month, I go through the most recent e-mails I've
received and pick a few to share with you. I try to personally respond
to every e-mail I receive, but I also post a few here in my Q&A column.

Hi Joe
Would you happen to know if Ertl plans to make an 1:18 scale KITT
car from the tv series Knight Rider, I have The Dukes of Hazzard
car and Smokey & the Bandit, the attention to detail is excellent and
and if they are anything to go by then the KITT car will be probably be the
best diecast ever made of Knight Rider.
Thank you very much for your time.
Jon
It looks as if a 1:18 scale version of K.I.T.T. is on its way.
According to one source, the car will be shipping from RC2 under its Joy
Ride brand in March.

I am looking
for a better version of The Green Hornet in 1/64th scale
than the Johnny Lightning version. Any ideas? Also, Are there any
planned die-cast 1/64 scale releases for the new Starsky & Hutch that
you are aware of?
- Timothy Ellis
Hi Tim.
RC2 has the license for the new Starsky &
Hutch film and we can expect die-cast soon.
As for the Black Beauty, I thought JL's
version was pretty darn good. What don't you like about it? The only
other versions that I know of are Corgi's larger scale version (1:43 I
think) and there's a pretty rare and valuable slot car from Aurora
(pictured above). That's it for now.
Hi Joe,
I just wanted to take a moment and
compliment you on a fantastic website containing one of the best sites
I've seen dedicated to my favorite hobby 1/64 scale famous vehicles.
My cousin and I started collecting in the early 70's when we were both in
elementary school and for some reason never stopped collecting, although I
must admit there was a gap in the 90's where I stopped to get married and
start a family.
Keep up the good work,
Eric
Thanks for the kind words Eric.
Please feel free to send me photos of your collection so I can post them as
part of Collectors Collections. That goes for everyone else as well.
If you send me well-lit, properly focused digital photos, I will post them
on the home page. Just use the e-mail link at the bottom of the left
column.

Hi, Some days ago I asked you
about Visitors "V" die-cast toys. Your Galgo
pictures forced me to do a big internet search. I found awesome
vehicles by DMT-Productions in this forum :

Bye,
Volker
Thanks for the links Volker. I e-mailed DMT
Productions for more information on these die-cast toys. As soon as I
get confirmation that these are officially licensed products, I will add
them to the Hollywood Die-Cast gallery.

Hello, I'm a German Boy from Fürth in Bayern. I have a
Questions.
I look from the Car in the Movie "The Liga" with Sean Connery. Can
you this car get procure?
Sorry, my englisch are not so good. I will go happy for a
answer.
Good Look.
Rainer Liegel
Hi Rainer. I believe the film you are referring to
is The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The car featured in
the film is called The Nemomobile. It is a beautiful car, however,
the film was considered a box-office disappointment here in the U.S.,
though it grossed more than $100 million dollars overseas. I don't
think we'll be seeing this car in die-cast form any time soon, but to
quote the great Sean Connery: "Never say never, again."

Hi, I asked about your Gone in 60 Seconds collection a few
days back and I was wondering do you have the whole set or is there more
to collect?
Thanks,
John
As far as I know, The Gone in 60 Seconds
page of this website features every car from the 1974 film that has
been released by ERTL as part of its Racing Champions line. I,
personally, picked up only a few. My favorite is the Mustang Mach I
"Eleanor" (pictured above). Hot Wheels also released a boxed set of
1:64 cars based on the 2000 remake of the film starring Nicholas Cage.

Hi Joe,
I just wanted to ask you about the Jurassic Park decals,
were did you get those decals from? Dad was watching the second movie
yesterday and he asked me if they made any cars from the first film.
So I checked out your site and I didn't know that your making one.
So, we'd like to know were you got the decals from because we only
need 2. Can you help us out ? Thanks Joe.- Jason
The decals I used while trying to customize a 1:64 scale version of the
Jurassic Park Ford Explorer came from a 1:20 scale model kit from
Lindberg. Someone scanned the decals and e-mailed them to me.
I tweaked them a bit and reduced them to 1:64 scale. My first
attempt was okay, but could've been better. I'll be making another
attempt this spring.

Hello!
Today I found your Webside and saw the Waltons truck. Could
you say me , where I can get such a truck? I'm a great Waltons
fan and searching for Fan articles.
Yours sincerely,
Elke Zumdiek (from Germany)
The Waltons truck is fairly rare. I
don't own one, but my friend does. He bought his on eBay. It rarely
appears on eBay, but that's where you'll find it if you're persistent.
Visit www.ebay.com every few weeks.
Under the category "toys: diecast" search for "Waltons" "Road Stars" or
"LJN"
Good luck

Hey, I really enjoy visiting your website. I just
wanted to send you a quick email to let you know about another Hot Wheels
Batmobile I haven't seen pictured on your website.
http://www.hotwheelscollectors.com/hot100/car.aspx?SKU=C2745&Series_ID=3
Actually, it's still only a drawing even on the Hot
Wheels website but I thought you would be interested if you didn't already
know about it.
Keep up the good work!
Michael
The Batmobile pictured above will soon appear as the Hot
Wheels #69 Crooze Batmobile. Keep your eyes peeled.
Your e-mails really make my day. Please keep them coming.
Click on the e-mail link in the left column and I'll do my best to find
the answer for you.
