December
Each month, I go through the most recent e-mails I've
received and pick a few to share with you. I try to personally respond
to every e-mail I receive, but I also post a few here in my Q&A column.
Once again, I have to remind the visitors to my site that NOTHING is for
sale. This site is purely informational and I don't make any money
doing it. I do it because it's a passion and a hobby and I want to
share that passion with you. Having said that, here are the e-mails
that were remaining after I weeded out the Can I Buy or Is This
For Sale e-mails:

Are there three versions of the Delorean from each Back to the Future
movie available in 1/64 scale?
- Sportsfan8688@aol.com
There are several versions of the BTTF Delorean made
by a variety of companies, but Hot Wheels' Japanese counterpart Charawheels
has done a version from each film. The regular edition features the
Delorean without Mr. Fusion. The Collector's Edition includes Mr.
Fusion from BTTF2 and a third version depicts the Delorean from
BTTF3.
Do you have a
link or website to use as a resource for Corgi or Corgi Jr die-cast? -

One of my
favorite sources to have my Corgi and Corgi Jr. questions answered is the
Matchbox Collectors Community. Registration is free and the experts at
that forum always come through with great information and pics:

Hi I was
wondering if the Partridge Family ever drove a Volkswagen bus or van of any
kind? My mom and I were talking about it the other day and for some reason I
remember them driving a Volkswagen. I'm not sure why I remember it that way
and most of my friends my age remembered the same thing. That is why it
confused me when I saw that it was a school bus because I read somewhere
that it was a Volkswagen but could never find a picture. If you have a
picture or know of somewhere that I might be able to find one or find out if
they ever did drive a Volkswagen please email me. Thanx so much!
Thanks~Courtney~
Wow, well, that's a good question. I don't recall
the Partridge Family driving anything but that funky multicolored school
bus. I did a quick Google search online and found out that in the 1999
TV movie about the behind-the-scenes of The Partridge Family, the
actor that played David Cassidy drove around in a VW Bus, but I don't recall
if a VW Bus was ever used on the old '70-'74 TV series. If anyone out
there has any info on the vehicles featured on The Partridge Family,
please e-mail me and I'll pass the info along to Courtney. Thanks.

Hey Joe,
I read on the site below that the SuperVan was used in Back to the Future.
I don't recall ever seeing it. Maybe it was in the second movie when
they were in the future. Do you remember seeing it?
Thanks,
Mark
I heard the same thing Mark, but I haven't spotted the Supervan just yet.
I've been meaning to pick up the Back to the Future Trilogy on DVD,
but I have gotten around to it yet. I'll look for it when I
get it. Maybe I can post a still on this website. For those of
you who don't know, George Barris originally built what he called the Love
Machine, which was then used in the 1973 film Supervan.
According to the IMDB, the plot outline is described as: "A man named
Clint enters a solar-powered van called Vandora into a competition called
Freakout."
Apparently, the van was also used as a background vehicle in Back to
the Future 2. The original van is being restored by a company
called Vampire Performance and the restoration is being documented for
television.

I am having a very difficult time finding the James
Dean Porsche Spyder 550 with 130 and the lettering Little Bastard. There
seems to be no 1955 Porsche Spyder 550 out there. Can you tell me where I
can find one? Thanks so much.
Barbara
I don't believe anyone has made James Dean's Porsche
Spyder in 1:64 scale. I do own a 1:64 scale Hot Wheels Porsche
Spyder, but it doesn't have the decals featured on James Dean's car.
If you search eBay on a regular basis, you may stumble across the "Little
Bastard" in 1:32 scale or 1:43 scale, similar to the one pictured above.

The ERTL
American Muscle Christine car - what year is that and were can I
get it?
- Tdellisbroncos@aol.com
Although the car isn't an officially licensed Christine, it's a
perfect likeness. The red 1958 Plymouth Belvedere is part of ERTL's
American Muscle - Early Muscle 3-car boxed set. The car described in
the book and film is a '58 Plymouth Fury, but I'm told by credible sources
that Belvederes, in addition to Furys, were used in the film. As a
matter of fact, ERTL's Belvedere casting looks EXACTLY like their Fury
casting. I love this car and have it proudly displayed among my
collection, at least until someone does an OFFICIAL Christine.
I'm told that Johnny Lightning is considering revisiting the license.
...and finally, to demonstrate that I get e-mails from all over the
world, here is the following:
Hola Joe:
Deseo obtener un carrito(juguete de
coleccion) Trans Am (1979-1981) color negro. Me podras ayudar en donde
lo puedo conseguir y el costo del mismo.
Gracias
Flora Lopez
San Juan PRI ran the
e-mail through the translator and apparently Flora is looking for a
black '78-'81 Trans-Am. I recommended that she search eBay for the
ERTL Racing Champions Trans-Am from Smokey & The Bandit.
Your e-mails really make my day. Please keep them coming.
I'll do my best to find the answer for you.
