11/23/04 - JL Bond
Prototypes
I saw these over at the
Hobby Talk BB.
Gold versions of 8 different Johnny Lightning cars from the James Bond
films. According to one post by Scott:
"I've only seen one
other set like these. They were on the wall in display cases at PM
Headquarters. I saw them back in 2003 the day before LF. I asked about them
and was told that there were three sets made to display at some of the trade
shows and that they were not mass produced. Darn ! I really wanted the
Mustangs. Hope this info helps."
And then Phil posted:
"I remember a guy
on Ebay, who was gold plating JL. He wanted me to send him the cars, then we
would spilt the profit. I never did, but they looks just like his work."
Whatever the story is, they sure are
pretty to look at. Check out the full set at:

11/12/04 - E-Mail Problems
Lately, I've been having major
problems with my server One2Host. For anyone looking for a web host,
avoid these guys at all costs. Whenever there are problems, they are
totally unresponsive. That is why you haven't seen many updates
lately. Not only has my site been down a LOT, now I'm having trouble
receiving e-mails addressed to
joe@hollywood-diecast.com.
I am going to temporarily accept
e-mails sent to
jage750@comcast.net
until I get this problem resolved.
I apologize for not being able to respond to any e-mails sent during the
past few weeks.
UPDATE:
It seems the problem has been fixed. Feel free to use
my normal e-mail:
joe@hollywood-diecast.com
