10/27/04 - Showing Up at
Target
I've been seeing these HW Batman VS
Catwoman 2-Packs showing up at Target stores all over my area. If
you're interested in picking this set up, that's where you want to look.
10/22/04 - TV Land Top
10 TV Cars
Did you happen to catch TV Land's
Top 10 TV Cars on Wednesday? It was VERY entertaining.
It was full of great clips, info and interviews. I enjoyed it
tremendously. I hope they release it on DVD. Here is the list:

For the most part, I
agree with the list, with the exception of one GLARING OMISSION! The
car that won our own Hollywood Die-Cast poll, The Monkeemobile, was nowhere
to be found on the list, and was BARELY mentioned on the entire program.
It's pretty shocking that Fred Flintstone's car made the list, and The
Monkeemobile didn't. The program will air several more times on TV

On a related note,
during the summer, I was interviewed for a similar program by a crew from
Ireland. I received an e-mail telling me the program will debut on
November 4th on Sky Television in the United Kingdom. If you live in
that part of the world, be sure to check your local listings!
10/13/04 - Collectors'
Collections
Casey Johnson has submitted a few
photos for the Collectors' Collections gallery, including pics of some great
movie posters. Casey writes:

10/4/04 - Hot Wheels
Batman 5-Pack
Apparently, there is yet another HW
Batmobile to be found. I"ve been told by several sources to be on the
lookout for a Batman 5-Pack that includes a blue w/flames Keaton-style
Batmobile. I'm trying to gather more info, including a nice pic of the
Batmobile. If you have one, please share. Thanks.

TV Cars
Be sure to cast your vote for your
favorite TV cars. TV Land is asking you to pick 10 cars from the list
of 26 shown on their website and the results will be revealed on October 13

We here at Hollywood
Die-Cast recently held a similar poll of our own. The Monkeemobile was
named favorite TV car with 44% of the vote. The '66 Batmobile came in
second with 29% of the vote. K.I.T.T. placed third with 10%, the
General Lee netted 5% and Green Hornet's Black Beauty came in 5th with 4%.
We'll see how similar the results are on TV Land's poll.
UPDATE: The episode has been pushed back
to October 20 at 10pm.
